Emoticon Parts
Emoticon parts are what drive jEmote. These are PNG image files of things which can be put together to make an emoticon, for instance the 3 objects below make an outcome:
Face Part + Eyes Part + Mouth Part = Output Emoticon

The 3 "parts" are individually selected by the person making the emoticon, these "parts" can also be repositioned for other tasks, the default position of the part is judged by the space on the left and top of the object, you can usually figure this out by comparing your object to the face part its created for.

When making "parts" we have 3 size category's, these are Small, Medium, and Large. These category's are defined by the size of the "face part".

Download the part templates pack.

Our example is Face Part, this is a medium sized "face part" and all other objects are made to the same scale as to fit these parts. So your images can take as many pixels as require but you need to scale them to the "face parts", with small and large the same rule applies.

You can get a fully copy of all current "emote parts" by downloading the latest source and navigating to:

%directory%\Dist\Resources\EmoteParts\

In this directory you will see the small medium and large category's, inside there are the individual part types and then you will see "pixel" and "alpha" this is explained below.

The Pixel folder is for PNG images that have no ALPHA Transparency, thus are just solid color objects, the Alpha folder is for PNG images that have a ALPHA Transparency map, thus pixels have a varying degree of transparency set to them. When making parts please put them in the right folders to save us further work of having to move them around.

Before you begin your object creating there's one more thing, when making parts please use the \EmoteParts_new\ folder to store them, once you have made all the parts you wish to submit to us please ZIP this folder up and send it to us, this will mean you are not sending all the parts which are already in the project, thus making the task easier on both parties.
(Of course if you have access to our SVN then you can just add your objects to the normal location)
